The Asset Module is located on the Financial Services Platform of EIS.
- Log into myfs
- Choose "Campus Self Service,"
- Choose "Asset Management."
How to update the location, custodian, or condition of an asset using the EIS Asset Module:
- Log into the FS platform of EIS
- Choose "Campus Self Service"
- Choose "Asset Management"
- Locate desired asset by tag number/department/emplid/etc.
- Choose "Update an Asset
- Change the "Effective Date" to the current date in the Custodian and Location Changes Boxes.
- Update as desired. You can update the condition, custodian, location, and comments.
- Choose "Save."
How to obtain a list of all assets under a DeptID using the EIS Asset Module:
- Log into the FS platform of EIS
- Using the left side menu, click on "Reporting Tools"
- Using the left side menu, click on "Query"
- Using the left side menu, click on "Query Viewer"
- On the Query Viewer screen, it should read "Search by "Query Name" begins with...; Enter "Assetusers4" and click the yellow search button.
- When the query appears, click on the blue "Excel" hyperlink located to the far right of the query name. A new browser window should open. If you are unable to see it, consult your departmental computer support to adjust popup blocker settings.
- At the top of the new window, you are prompted to enter your 5 digit DeptID in the box labeled "Dept." Click "View Results."
- A dialog box appears asking if you'd like to save or open the Excel file.
How to mark an asset as "offsite" using the EIS Asset Module:
- Log into the FS platform of EIS
- Choose "Campus Self Service"
- Choose "Asset Management"
- Choose "Find an Asset"
- Locate desired asset by tag number/department/emplid/etc.
- Choose "Update an Asset
- Change the "Effective Date" to the current date in the Custodian and Location Changes Boxes.
- Mark the "This asset is offsite" box in the "Custodian Changes" section of the record.
- Make a comment in the "Comments" text box indicating the reason for the offsite designation.
- Choose "Save."
